Do you want to make an impact?

Do you love your degree subject and seeking a career that will continue developing your knowledge and understanding in that subject?

Would changing the lives of others inspire you?

Teaching could be the career for you.

The Shires Alliance is a group of 10 secondary schools in Warwickshire who can offer you 12 months of practical, school based training in your subject, finishing with a PGCE, 60 credits towards your Masters and potentially your first teaching position in one of our schools.

Unlike a traditional PGCE at University, the benefit of this route is the high proportion of time spent in school, in class – converting your theory straight into practice.

You will have peace of mind that our group of semi-rural and rural schools have been supporting graduates into teaching for over 30 years. We have a unique range of settings for your teacher training, from single gender grammar schools, large mixed secondary schools to smaller schools in a rural setting.

Mentored every step of the way, you will be guided, advised, supported and eased into the classroom. The young faces before you will be inspired and motivated by you. Your passion for your subject will make some of your students choose a career path in that subject and cite you as their inspiration.

Come and meet us to find out more.
